Passions , Living Days and Blast Off!!!

Tue., May 11, 2010 / 10:00 PM

Passions aka Mathhead is making his rounds with the live band. These are his first shows billed as such, you should g, if you like dark electronic music, made by of of the pioneers of dubstep.

Teeming with punchy melodies, unbridled vocals, and splashy synths, LIVING DAYS is poised to charm the socks off legions of music lovers with the upcoming release of their first full-length album, MAKE OUT ROOM. The audacious quintet of self-proclaimed “love terrorists” is fronted by the lionhearted Stephonik Youth, whose riptide of rapid-fire charisma is undeniably memorable and features an assemblage of indie music all-stars, including former members of Matisyahu, and sci-fi thrash band AQUI, Lee Scratch Perry, and touring members of Coco Rosie.

With a sound that brings to mind a cross between Gary Numan, Yeasayer, and The Cure, LIVING DAYS echo the spirit of the broken-hearted teens that are confidently hopeful that love is still out there for the taking. While laying down the tracks for MAKE OUT ROOM, LIVING DAYS collaborated with talented producer and former chief engineer of The Magic Shop, Matt Boynton (MGMT, The Butthole Surfers, The Lemonheads). The result is a triumphant collection of infectious pop gems such as “Go Oblivion”, “Bury The World”, and the piercingly emotive “Let’s Kiss”.

LIVING DAYS have already begun turning heads with full-throttle approach to music. MTV’s Warren the Ape gushed, “"Living Day's MAKE OUT ROOM is the album I wish I had lost my virginity to”, while Natasha Khan of Bat for Lashes referred to Stephonik Youth “the most amazing artist I've ever seen.”
