A message from CoSM

Hildegard of Bingen, a 12th c. Abbess and Visionary, wrote of "veriditas," the greening power of Nature as the physical manifestation of God's love and life-renewing spirit. The group souls of all growing things conjoin to form a subtle energetic creative healing environment.

The glorious green of Summer has blessed our first events at CoSM! First, a welcoming tour for our neighbors, a members Full Moon, and then Alash, our musical friends from Tuva, presented an amazing concert in the library of the Main House. We do hope you will enjoy each remaining day of this season and join us for our first Full moon Ceremony open to the public, Friday, September 4th, details follow.

This summer, CoSM's contractors and volunteer builders have been busy with massive renovations in the Main House, the building of CoSM's Studio, and the beginning of our Wisdom Path through the woods. Come to the Full Moon and other CoSM events, see the progress and hear about the plans.

Fall is a new beginning in many traditions, like a second New Year. At CoSM Art Sanctuary we look forward to our first season of fall colors. "The Mission of Art" is the first course planned for CoSM's Core Curriculum, and promises to empower the alliance between spirituality and creativity for each participant. In October, a workshop entitled," Nature Mysticism" will encourage drawing and painting from the microCoSM to the macroCoSM, from the cellular structure visible through a microscope to a leaf, to a tree, to the greater landscape.

The installation of "Altered State" a 28 foot sculpture by Kate Raudenbush, will provide a beautiful centerpiece in the CoSM meadow, an excellent focal point for many events including beautiful outdoor weddings. Mark your calendars for the opening ceremony, now scheduled for the afternoon of Sunday, October 11th.

Love and extraordinary visions,

Alex and Allyson Grey
