Since forming in 2005, the magnetic instrumental quintet has won a diverse and devoted following at performances everywhere from Bonnaroo to the legendary Festival of the Desert in Essakane, Mali, known as the most remote festival in the world. They developed their unique sound over the course of numerous extended trips to Mali, Guinea, and Ivory Coast, where they immersed themselves in the local culture and studied and performed with luminaries.

New York City's own U-Melt will be re-uniting with Wyllys on a progressive series of events that touch on different aspects of electronic music. The two artists will perform interlocking sets with the middle set focused on particular styles of beats native to the areas they play. In Chicago this past December, U-Melt and Wyllys riffed on legendary Chicago house music by covering Groove Armada and Rhinocerus. On April 10th in New York City at BB Kings, U-Melt and Wyllys will drop some drum and bass like they use to at Concrete Jungle.
